Giovanni Galvez

Giovanni brings over 25 years of experience in the closed captioning and subtitling field with expertise in broadcast TV, live streaming, and digital video standards. In addition, he has cultivated a close relationship with major broadcast organizations around the world that use accessibility and video delivery workflows. Giovanni and his team were recognized with an Emmy Award in 2015 for standardizing and pioneering development of broadband captioning. In 2024, his team built a cloud based closed captioning streaming system for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. In 2026, his team won the HPA award for innovation in distribution and viewer experience for live automatic captioning, dubbing, and sign language for Sports and News applications during the Milano Torino Winter Olympic Games.
