Low-latency dubbing on a QR code
Ant Media builds a low-latency streaming platform. SyncWords used it to solve a delivery problem of its own: getting live dubbed audio onto attendees' phones fast enough to follow the room.
The challenge
Dubbed audio for in-person events has to reach the listener almost as the words are spoken. Standard page delivery added too much delay for someone sitting in the audience with the speaker in front of them.
The solution
SyncWords integrated Ant Media's WebRTC streaming into its web widget, carrying the live dubbed audio track to a page attendees open by scanning a QR code. No app, no hardware in the room.
The result
Live audio translation on attendees' own devices at in-person events. The relationship has grown into a mutual referral partnership, with shared booths at IBC and NAB and joint work on deeper streaming integration.
