Can VOD Express dub a video file?
Yes. VOD Express can return dubbed video, one audio file per language, captions, subtitles or a declared combination of them. AI dubbing is best suited to news, sports, documentaries, events and narrational content, not scripted films or series that need studio editorial treatment.
What outputs can VOD Express produce?
VOD Express can return video masters with original and selected dubbed audio tracks, separate per-language audio files, standalone caption or subtitle files, embedded EIA-608 and muxed subtitle tracks. The recipe declares the exact outputs, track order and filenames before the job runs.
Can some languages be subtitle-only and others dubbed?
Yes. A target language can produce captions and subtitles without text-to-speech, while other languages in the same job produce both text and dubbed audio. Each final file includes only the tracks declared for it.
How do files get in and out?
Recurring workflows use an S3 input folder, an S3 output folder and a separate state folder. VOD Express can process the files already present once or keep watching for new media. Single-file jobs are also supported. Stable naming templates make the results predictable for the next system in the chain.
Can we review captions before publishing?
VOD Express has no transcript editor, caption editor or human review queue. That is what lets a recurring file workflow stay automated. Custom ASR dictionaries prepare names and terminology before processing. If editorial review is mandatory, tell us before the proof of concept so we can scope the right workflow.
What content is VOD Express right for?
VOD Express is designed for news, sports, documentaries, recorded events, lectures, enterprise video and recurring media libraries. It is not a studio dubbing service for scripted drama or content that depends on line-by-line editorial nuance.
