Broadcast: technology partner AWS
Through our AWS co-sell, broadcasters come on board with captioning that plugs cleanly into their existing cloud stack, a shared win for both sides.

What powered this story
The story
The localization layer of the Elemental ecosystem
SyncWords runs on AWS and works inside it: the same MediaLive, MediaPackage and MediaConnect services that carry customers' channels carry SyncWords captions, subtitles and dubbing.
The challenge
AWS Elemental customers kept asking for live captioning and translation that would not force them into specialized hardware. The Elemental stack had no native answer.
The solution
SyncWords slots into the Elemental chain at every position it exposes: SRT through MediaConnect, CMAF ingest between MediaLive and MediaPackage, and HLS at the origin, producing captions, translated subtitles and dubbed audio from one live session.
The result
SyncWords completed the AWS Foundational Technical Review and joined the ISV Accelerate program. AWS solutions architects now refer broadcasters directly, and the teams have shared booth space at NAB and IBC for around four years.
In detail
The partnership at a glance

- Validation
- AWS Foundational Technical Review completed, with the AWS qualified software badge and ISV Accelerate membership.
- In the field
- Joint booths at NAB and IBC, AWS summit appearances, and AWS senior solutions-engineer training delivered twice.
- Referred work
- Broadcasters, government bodies and streaming platforms have come to SyncWords through AWS referrals, met at trade shows or in the field with solutions architects.
