The story
Four languages at once, on every stage
CoinDesk's Consensus, billed as the most influential event in digital assets, finance and technology, brings presenters and audiences from different language markets into the same rooms. The captions had to keep up with whoever held the microphone.
The challenge
At Consensus Hong Kong, presenters switched between English, Japanese, Mandarin and Korean across stages and sessions. Attendees needed to follow every session regardless of which language was being spoken.
The solution
SyncWords' multilingual mode recognizes the source language as it changes and translates in real time, producing captions and audio translations in all event languages simultaneously. Attendees scanned a QR code and picked their language, for reading or listening, on their own device.
The result
Consensus Hong Kong ran in English, Japanese, Mandarin and Korean; Consensus Miami in English, Spanish and Portuguese. SyncWords engineers helped set up and test, and stayed on call throughout both events.
