The story
German hockey for fans everywhere
The LA Kings and Eisbären Berlin share an owner, AEG Sports. That made Eisbären games a natural fit for SLVR Sports & Entertainment, the free ad-supported streaming channel operated by Triple B Media and programmed with Kings content. SLVR streams on Samsung TV Plus, Prime Video and Plex. The Eisbären broadcasts, however, are in German, and the audience is in North America.
The challenge
Live hockey doesn't wait. Commentary is fast, player names come from many countries, and fans expect to follow the game as it happens. A replay with English commentary added later wouldn't meet that standard, and staffing a separate English commentary team for every game wasn't practical.
The solution
The German-language game feed arrives at SyncWords live. AI speech recognition transcribes the commentary, translates it and generates English audio, which is returned to Triple B Media for SLVR. Viewers hear English commentary as the game happens.
The result
A 52-game live schedule on SLVR, from September 2026 through March 2027, now reaches English-speaking fans across North America. Early fan feedback has been very positive.
