The story
One feed, one hundred countries
Newsmax runs a 24/7 news channel on cable and OTT. Its international growth strategy runs through language: partners abroad will carry the channel, but not in English.
The challenge
Newsmax's 24/7 channel had become licensable across the globe, but distribution partners needed it in their market's language. Traditional dubbing cannot run on a live news channel, and separate language channels would mean duplicated production.
The solution
SyncWords dubs the live SRT feed in real time, running 24/7 on main and backup pipelines, delivered through MediaLive as HLS to OTT partners. Spanish went live first; Russian and Portuguese are rolling out. Show clips are localized through an MRSS feed, dubbed and subtitled with titles and metadata translated.
The result
Within 18 months, Newsmax expanded into more than 100 countries across five continents: Newsmax en Español on DirecTV Latin America, a multi-year Supercanal agreement in the Dominican Republic, carriage on Fubo, YouTube TV and Sling for US Hispanic audiences, and licensing deals from the Balkans to France, Israel and Cyprus.
