Enterprise: technology partner StreamShark
For StreamShark, embedding our accessibility and localization layer closed a feature gap their enterprise customers kept asking for. No build required.
The story
Languages as a checkbox in the platform
StreamShark is a live-streaming platform from Australia with customers concentrated in the US, built on AWS Elemental.
The challenge
StreamShark kept being asked for captioning and translation it didn't have, often by customers in multilingual markets like California, and the complexity of building it had kept it off the roadmap. Deals were slipping away over it.
The solution
After meeting SyncWords through an AWS referral at re:Invent, StreamShark integrated the SyncWords API into its platform: customers pick the languages they want and stream. The workflow is HLS, sitting between MediaLive and MediaPackage.
The result
Captioning, subtitle translation and live dubbing are now StreamShark platform features, and its localization streaming business has grown significantly.
